Norm has been tournament fishing since 1993, and it was during this time that he decided to start making his own baits. This venture quickly expanded, beginning with soft plastic baits and evolving into Ditch Pickle Baits, which now offers a wide range of bass tackle beyond just soft plastics. Norm now proudly calls Grosse Tete, LA home.

He serves as the Co-Director of American Bass Anglers Division 49 and is a National Youth Fishing Association boat captain, as well as a volunteer boater for Fishing For Freedom. Throughout his fishing career, he has utilized various bass tackle, including Ditch Pickle Baits and tournament fishing baits, while competing in ABA Division 49, Joe Bass Team Trail, and USA Bassin. Notably, he has qualified for the ABA National Championship for the last four years.
